The food saver seal method of drying is another process that has been around for many years. The first, most common way was to simply place the food out in the sun. Called sun drying, this process usually takes about four days to complete. Luckily, modern technology has provided us with automatic food dehydrators. Popular products that are dried include meats, spices, and fruit.

Using a vacuum sealer is another popular method of food seal savers. This method hasn’t been around as long as the ones mentioned above, but it is still a great way to preserve the freshness of food. For about fifty dollars, you can have one of your own. The way these products work is that you place food in the vacuum bag, and then press down the sealer. The air is completely removed from the bag. This gives the product a longer shelf life and helps keep freezer burn from occurring. Vacuum sealers are used as a convenient way to store food because most bags are able to be boiled on the stovetop. The more upgraded versions are used on the restaurant industry as a means of convenience, also.

The food saver seal methods of canning and drying have been around for hundreds of years. With advancing technology, vacuum sealing has also started to become popular. With these many choices available, it is becoming quite easy to seal in the freshness.
